Just thinking out loud, there are other variables (e.g.: queryformat) that reference output formats. There must be one with mime-type "text/html" defined by default...

You have to have a TEMPLATE for something to be queryable. Something is definitely wrong (most tests in msautotest/query also fail) and probably related to the default output format changes. Can someone  summarize those?

We're going through msautotest at the sprint and running into a problem with templates...
In msautotest/misc/rfc36.map it looks like it is needs TEMPLATE 'dummy' but this doesn't appear to be allowed anymore?
