[mapserver-dev] OGR autostyle font mapping problem

We need a smarter fontset parser or format so that values can be quoted like within a mapfile. What exists
now is a very basic reader...

The issue of font names with spaces came up recently on IRC in
#mapserver and I was also surprised that this problem exists.  I'm not
sure if it exists as a ticket yet, but your ticket should probably
handle this (note: I'm not referring to the specific case of styleitem
auto, but all cases of spaces in fontset files).
