I have no problem with this at all. My only question would be how to keep it current, I mean how would a service provider be removed from the list(s) - criteria and process?

Steve

Subject: [mapserver-dev] MS-RFC-116 call for discussion: service provider page

Good afternoon,

One of the items that was discussed by the MapServer team at the Paris
OSGeo code sprint was the addition of a service providers page to the
website to make it easier for users and service providers to meet.

Since the question of who should be listed or not can sometimes be
tricky, we did some research of what other OSGeo projects did, and came
up with what sounded to us like a straightforward and reasonable
approach that is documented in MS-RFC-116:

http://mapserver.org/development/rfc/ms-rfc-116.html

We invite you to review and discuss the RFC, and we can hopefully vote
on it sometimes next week.

A draft of the proposed service providers page is already available at
the following URL to support the discussion, but it is not linked from
any page on the main site yet:

http://mapserver.org/community/service_providers.html

Thanks
