I think so don't you? One set of tests per language makes sense IHMO. So msautotest would be for the C core.

Subject: [mapserver-dev] msautotest Python tests

Hi list,

Python MapScript test suite is now fully functional again and running on both Appveyor and Travis.
Would it make sense to integrate the test cases located at https://github.com/mapserver/mapserver/tree/master/msautotest/mspython with the rest of the test suite at https://github.com/mapserver/mapserver/tree/master/mapscript/python/tests/cases?
The tests can be linted, and setup to run with pytest, and would no longer depend on custom test runner code in pmstestlib.
These additional tests would also be run on Python3 (with Appveyor - I was unable to get Python3 to run as alongside Python2 on Travis as Travis doesn't seem to support multiple languages particularly well, and is currently set to PHP).

Regards,

Seth
