[mapserver-dev] Working on adopting PROJ 6 API

Thanks Even! Any guess on how big an effort (hrs) this might be? We do have a small project budget and I wonder if work so central would be worth supporting with more than good will and thanks.


There are other activities in the same boat so it's probably a topic for the next PSC meeting.

FYI and to avoid duplication of effort, I've just started working on making
MapServer use PROJ 6' proj.h API instead of the venerable proj_api.h.

For now, I'll try my best to keep the old code paths using proj_api.h, but
can't tell how viable this is.
