[mapserver-dev] OSGeo Budget 2019 for Projects

Hi Steve,

I see this has come up for discussion on the board list, so would be
good to put in a request:
https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/board/2019-January/011971.html
CITE compliance sounds good. Are there fees to pay OGC for this, or is
it to pay for the work of setting up tests and fixing MapServer code?A maintainer role also sounds good, but could be complicated to sort out
responsibilities?
Other possible options:

- Pay for some of the FOSS4G costs in Bucharest to give a MapServer
project status talk?- Stickers, T-shirts? Whilst not critical they may help improve
MapServer's visibility at local chapter meetings, FOSS4G etc. and
attract new users, who may in the future become MapServer commiters.- "seed funding" for a feature. As you mention it wouldn't pay full
costs but may make a concrete fund for others to contribute to. I
guess this would require a v8.0 roadmap to be put in place.- is all infrastructure for VMs already funded by OSGeo? A few more
live hosted demos etc. would be good. I think we have one server
  already in place.
Regards,

Seth
