Hi all,

Some quick updates:

- as you may have noticed, a first beta went out yesterday, but as I was 
testing it I noticed a minor issue and it was fixed almost instantly 
(thanks Even!)
- therefore a public beta2 was released today
   - direct link: 
https://download.osgeo.org/mapserver/mapserver-8.4.0-beta2.tar.gz
- branch-8-4 has been created, and we can use the "backport branch-8-4" 
label accordingly for pull requests into that branch

Please test as soon as you can.
