[MapServer-dev] PSC Meeting Notes

Hi all,

Thanks for attending the PSC meeting last Thursday. For those that missed it the logs are available at [1].
A few notes related to items discussed:

1. Discussions on an upcoming 8.4 release. See the Release plan [2] and milestones [3]. PSC members in favour of a 2024 November release if possible. 
2. Possibility raised of having (some) PSC meetings in a call via Jitsi or Google Meet was raised. Chat over IRC is more open, but there are sometimes 10 minute gaps between responses. 
3. I've drafted a wiki page for the 2025 budget to submit to the OSGeo board [4] to start discussions. If there are any more items to add, please send to the dev list. 
4. The 2024 sponsorship opportunities remain open [5]. I think we can just copy and paste this for a 2025 page. 

Other MapServer related activities for 2025 include:

- AGM Slide [7] (I can work on the 2024 one now)
- Attendance of a 2025 OSGeo Codesprint
- MapCache releases
- Keeping the MapServer Quickstart and Demo on OSGeoLive up-to-date and working
- MapServer presentations at FOSS4G Europe (Mostar in July) and FOSS4G (Auckland, December)
