database connection problem

Hello,
      i am using php-mapscript and SQL server for my GIS project in windows.As i
have to access database all the time for all the necessary datas which are
present in the database,i used to do it with a DSN oriented connection,but when
i am trying to do the same with a DSNless connection------its not working
properly.

So,plz show me the way to come out of it.
