Dynamic Expressions

Hi,

I am using URL's to change map file parameters on-the-fly, so far it has
worked great, but I tried changing the layer data parameter and it does not
seem to change it.  Does anyone know if this a supported on-the-fly change?
Here is part of the URL that changes the mapfile parameter:
&map_layer_1_data=39/minor39
