Mapserver and OS X

Here's a way out question.  My office mates are salivating over Apple's OS
X and were wondering what it would take to get mapserver to run on the
unix side of OS X.

Has anyone tried this yet?  I'm not a Mac person so I haven't been keeping
up with the OS X PR.  I seem to remember hearing that it's built around
the FreeBSD kernal.  If this is true, such a port might be possible.
