[mapserver-users] request example importing multiple tiff files

Could i please ask for an example of importing a large 400 + number of tiff raster files(along with the supporting tfw world files or geotiff format maps into mapserver 
i was looking along the lines of using an index dbf file etc, 
any ideas welcome
