[mapserver-users] problem with Portuguese idiom

i'm trying to display as annotation layer , the names of cities of Sao Paulo state of Brasil

but when the name of city is something like "São Paulo" or "Ribeirão Preto" or "Paulínea"...

it only displays "SA  PAULO" or "RIBEIR O PRETO" or "PAUL NEA"

does it has a way to contour this or is it better i change field values on the .DBF?
