- From my point of view a common API on the lowest agreeable level and
thus having the possibility to divert to a pure
server-side-no-active-components map would be incredibly usefult.
In the environment I am developing my maps for we still have a big
number of NS 4.7 users in the administration of the city of Munich,
and as they are behind a firewall the cannot use LiveConnect.
So the discrepancy between a good looking and easy going active GUI
for the maps and a fully functional interface without any active
components kept me busy for a really long time - in the end I switched
to the latter one, mainly for security reasons of the intra
administration users.
But I would be too *very* interested in a common API.
