[mapserver-users] Scaling Labels

I want to create a mapfile where the labels "scale" the way they would in a
CAD environment. That is, the size of the labels relative to the size of the
vector elements is constant.

For example, if I have a line that is 50 ground units, I might have a string
of text annotating the line that is 25% of it's length. I want that text to
remain at 25% of the length of the line, regardless of what scale I'm
viewing the image at.

I'm familiar (somewhat) with SYMBOLSCALE and MAXSIZE / MINSIZE, but I must
be experiencing synapse collapse as I can't seem to make it do what I want
it to do. Does anyone have an example?
