hi,

i am using Digital Chart of the World as a data source for Mapserver.
The map application enables a user to enter a GPS coordinate (decimal degrees) and
plot the point against the layers from DCW.

In the website (http://www.maproom.psu.edu/cgi-bin/dcw/dcwarea.cgi?Asia) where the data was downloaded, the projection info is
Projection GEOGRAPHIC
Units DD
Spheroid CLARKE1866

The application seems to run fine and shows the GPS point correctly (didn't do any accuracy test, though).
Question:
1. Is this acceptable
If not, which is better,
(a) reproject the GPS point to the Geographic projection
or
(b) reproject the map layers to WGS84.

TIA
Nyon
