Hello,

I know of the Avenue Script that did an export from ArcView to MapFile ...

I was wondering has anyone done anything similar with the latest suite of
ArcGIS tools from ESRI ?

I'm curious about the possibility of using the VBA components and ArcObjects
to possibly do something similar, as well as add functionality (Such as
exporting symbols for example).

Has anyone here toyed around with this at all ? Or possibly converting .mxd
files to mapfiles ?

I'm not familiar with developping VB at all :(
