[mapserver-users] Couple more questions

First,
 
here is my proejct

Its simple enough... but its an ugly map... is there a way to make it
look more colorfull... the map is not poly but line.  Any thoughts?
 
Secondly I can use the 
MINSCALE
MAXSCALE
LABELMAXSCALE but they take in doubles and i dont know where to get this
double from>> any help would of course be appreciated.
