Hi,

I had similar problems with PHP MapScript. Actually, the labels were not
rotated randomly around label point. Every letter was rotated once again for
LABELANGLEITEM. I tried several version of freetype, downgrade the
freetype without success.

The solution is compiling the PHP without ttf support. Actually, this
is mentioned in the PHP MapScript FAQ :)

Hope that this will help to someone.

Thanks,

Igor
