[Mapserver-users] Anti-Aliased LINE layers?

Note that the attribute is actually part of a STYLE object and basically
is only relevant for single pixel width line drawing and truetype
symbols. In general I've not been to excited about the addition of that
feature to GD. It's sloooooowwwwww and not supported in every instance
(for example you can't draw a 3 pixel-wide antialiased line... So, if
you're looking for Photoshop-like quality you're not going to find it
here.

could try that ;)

You should search the list archive for information on this, there are 
some limitations to what it can do that have been previously discussed
