Look at TEMPLATEPATTERN in the LAYER object.

To swap templates through URL substitution, you have to set an
expression in template pattern that will match the name of your
template.

Unless, I am doing something wrong (which is highly likely :), I can 
not get the CGI interface to replace the TEMPLATE value in the 
mapfile.

I have tried using:

http://....&template=%2Fhome%2Fmsapps%2Ftest_mapfiles%2Ftest_40z_main.
html&....

and 

http://....&map_web_template=%2Fhome%2Fmsapps%2Ftest_mapfiles%2Ftest_4

0z_main.html&....

but neither will replace the template defined in the mapfile.

Can anyone verify this works or doesn't work on mapserver 4.0? so I 
can write a bug if appropriate.
