[Mapserver-users] MySQL WKB in OGR?

Hi Attila, (Frank),

I am trying to use the Perl utility which was written for the MyGIS
connector in Mapserver, but without much luck.

Would it be an idea to write a MySQL WKB connector in OGR instead, so we
could use ogr2ogr to write the data into MySQL? Is it possible Frank to
write a "write-only" (read would go through the current Mapserver MyGIS
connector) OGR connector?

Let me know what you guys think of the idea, or should it be
straightforward to get the Perl stuff working on Windows?

Or are only a few people using the MyGIS connector and would it be a
better move to write a MySQL Spatial connector for Mapserver?

Any thoughts on this appreciated!
