	You should be able to read those files via OGR.

	i.e assuming you have built MapServer with OGR support, instead of
this:

	LAYER
	   DATA "/path/to/shapefile"
	   ...
	END

	use this:

	LAYER
	   CONNECTIONTYPE OGR
	   CONNECTION "/path/to/shapefile.shp"
	   ...
	END
