Hi all: I spent a bit of time this afternoon working up a sample
application for our graphic designer and some business users to preview
species range maps. It shows some basic functionionality for modifying
layer properties on the fly, plus some simple javascript. There are
about 400 identical shapefiles that vary by pathname behind it. Both the
HTML file and map file are at:

  http://maps.dnr.state.mn.us/eco/rsg/minnesota/test.html
  http://maps.dnr.state.mn.us/eco/rsg/minnesota/range.map
