How do I hide a layer from WMS GETCAPABILITIES XML?

Bart,

   Thanks for the pointer to the bug report.  After reading the bug info, it
occurred to me that the whole architecture of:

        one-mapfile-layer =one-OWS-layer

might lead to some serious limitations in the future.  I need to look
through some old email on layer grouping, etc.
