[Mapserver-users] intersects() method

Does the method intersects(), just return true or false, or does it =
actually create an intersect between 2 shapes (much like ArcInfo).

For example: if $clip is a polygon that exists within the bounds of =
$poly, will $poly->intersects($clip) just return an integer, or will it =
also clip $poly with $clip?
