[Mapserver-users] HELP ME WITH LINUX INSTALLATION

<P>I tried installing mapserver on windows but could not and I was told that it would be better on Linux.</P>
<P>I have installed linux and have downloaded the following files </P>
<P>mapserver-4.2.0.tar.gz</P>
<P>mapserver-4.0.2.tar.gz.</P>
<P>When I try to unzip it gives be some "funny" data files.I have searched through the site to get helps on installation&nbsp; on Linux but I could not get it.</P>
<P>If any of you could help out I would be very happy with that.</P>
