[Mapserver-users] Can I use most of CGI mapserver, but also php_mapscript?

Hey all, 

I'm making some progress, and would like to continue on that trend! Can I use the CGI version of mapserver and intertwine some php_mapscript for the actual map image output? I like the interface I had with the CGI app, and I was hoping I could just change how the map image was created...but I'm getting a lot of errors trying to integrate mapscript stuff with the CGI stuff. Is this possible, or how else can I get the variables normally associated with the CGI...such as [legend], [scalebar], etc...
