It will be run by people who know what they're doing so should be more 
stable/robust. Not that the current one hasn't been ...

Users (inexperienced) will be able to configure things more easily.

The search interface/engine is better. But then we may not end up using it.

We can stop wasting the loads of time we've been wasting on maintaining the list 
and shift that effort to the Web site.

Of course, only time will tell. In the end, a list is a list.
