[Mapserver-users] pdf support

For anyone who knows,
I was going to try the Mapserver wiki PDF example. However the links to 
pdflib downloads are dead. When I go to the Pdflib web-site they only have 
version 6 available and everything is fee based. Is this correct you can 
only produce pdf's if you pay for pdflib. Or is there some other way?
