I am in the process of converting the mapjunction.com site to open source.

What is Mapjunction?
Is an open source set of code for the display of GIS data as well as
historical maps and
   location linked information.

Historical maps and aerial photos can be transformed by the site to align
with existing
  georeferenced data.

There are two clients.Java and Flash.

Current developer documentation is linked at http://www.mapjunction.com

The current Boston Redevelopment Authority site that uses mapjunction can
be viewed here
     http://www.mapjunction.com/places/Boston_BRA

The flash client has not been released publicly but can been seen at
   http://www.mapjunction.com/places/Test_BRA/flash/flash.pl

Comments welcome. I use a challenge response system so you will get a link
emailed back to
get on my whitelist.
