Hello!
As a student I'm starting to work with MapServer on a project this term. =
Our
job is to add our own attributes to an existing shape-file. These =
attributes
should be stored in a SQL-Database (postgreSQL - postgis) as a relation =
to
the attributes of the shape-file. The user should click on a feature in =
the
map and get the list of attributes. Now, the user should be able to add =
his
attributes. So far, the implementation is quite clear but we still have =
a
missing link.=20

=20

Is there any way to get the key (or other) attribute of the feature =
which is
clicked on? We need this attribute as a variable in our java servlet for
running the database application. We would like to use only the CGI
MapServer.

=20

Thanks for help

Andreas
