 I have a problem with symbol

 i have the shapefile as

DXF_SIZE DXF_ATTRIB DXF_IID            SIMBOLO 
1,000 CEDIGLIA                  1                        18 
1,000 CEDIGLIA                 2                        18 
1,000 CEDIGLIA                  3                       18 
2,000 FRECCIA                106                        5 
2,000 TERMINE                107                       2 
2,000 CEDIGLIA              108                       18 
2,000 TERMINE              109                         2 

where SIMBOLO is linked with     leo.tff  as
18       ~ 
2     &#8962;
etc.

 Is it possible to draw the simbol     ~      &#8962;    
 with PhpMapscript?What?
