Hi,

Try to run mapserv.exe from a command (dos) window with the -v switch

mapserv.exe -v

it is a way to test if it's working. You will get somethig like this:
MapServer version 4.3 OUTPUT=GIF OUTPUT=PNG ....

To test from your browser you must give a query string in the url

http://localhost/cgi-bin/mapserv.exe?map=path_to_your_map_file&mode=map

but you must create your map file before.

You had better to start with Itasca demo
