  Peter Freimuth made a code review, and he wrote that there are some problems at least in the GD
codebase which need fixing (redundancy, variables, etc), that there is a big interest from german
users for more advanced features such as SVG rendering and OpenGL (probably 3-D rendering), but the
problem is obtaining financing and also finding competent people to do the work. Finally, he says
that they would possibly want to sponsor a programmer such as Steve Lime or Tomas Krecmer if their
company can first get some contracts...
