Map image size

I'm not Steve, but I'm a friend of his - is that close enough <g>?

The image I get from that URL is not 70K.  Did you change the image format to GIF (possibly changing it from JPEG)?  GIF and PNG are very good choices for "line art" images (not photographs or scanned maps) and JPEG is a better choice for imagery (scanned maps and photos).  You will commonly see a 3x to 5x difference in file size if you use the "wrong" image type.
