CGI: Variable substitution for TILEINDEX?

Hello,

I post this on the users list because I am one ...

The variable substitution (%var_name%) in mapfiles  for the DATA
keyword in a LAYER is quite handy for keeping the mapfile short
while having different data sources for a layer depending on scale.

Are there any plans to provide the same mechanism for the
TILEINDEX keyword?
