Migrating from 3.64 -> 4.4.1 Tips?

Hello,

Have just migrated to 4.4.1 mapserver from 3.6.4, as a new mac os x
binary has become available.

I had a number of working .map files which seem a little problematic
and in some situations are actually crashing the cgi mapserv.

My .map files are all closely based on the itasca examples and still
use nearly identical html and init files.

Is there a few general "gotcha's" I need to be aware of? There
certainly are a lot of new features, but probably also new ways to do
things. Is there an itasca equivalent perhaps?
