installation woes - 256 character limit

Hi,

I'm trying to configure mapserver on solaris (via ssh
to a remote machine). Anyway, I'm unable to add more
parameters to the configure string after 256
characters on the command line. I also tried making a
text file and piping it the input, but that didn't
help either. Anyone have any suggestions?
