busy image

Hello:
   
  I want to display an image while mapserver is loading the map, but I don't know how to do it. I am not using jBox or any other utility. Is it possible to do it just with javascript?
   
  I would like replace the message " msQueryByPoint(): Search returned no results. No matching record(s) found" with my error message. It is possible?
