Hi,
FYI below. Does this have any bearing on how we use MapServer to connect to PostGIS?
I'm am trying to connect MapServer CVS (layer to a postgis connection) with the following defs:
CONNECTIONTYPE postgis
CONNECTION "user=postgres dbname=devgeodb"
DATA "the_geom from service_endpoints"
...and get no data back.

This is caused by the change of the canonical representation in PostGIS 1.0. All applications that use PostGIS specific ways to acces the GIS data instead of standard OpenGIS methods will have to be fixed to work with PostGIS 1.0.
