Hi Dave,
Did you remember to change the EXTENT in your map file? It needs to be
in metres for Mercator.

Tried using that projection in the top MAP section of the .MAP file,
then put PROJECTION "AUTO"

In each layer section, strangely now the maps don't show anything.
When I don't specify any map projection settings, I get it to show in
rougly the correct position just slightly warped.. As soon as I start
trying to change the projections I get nothing. Sadly I was hoping it
was going to be quite straightforward this problem... :(

The list provided me with this projection info a couple weeks ago. I am
using it successfully to draw mapserv images which overlay on top of
Google maps.
