different types of lines instead of simple vectors

hi list,

I want do make different types of lines for different matters. (e.g. black
and white line for railways or a yellow line with orange borders an an
orange line in the middle for freeways.)

The intention is to make a map like a city-plan with different types of
lines and not only simple lines or vectors.
