query by attributes on large datasets

Hi All
 
I need to do query by attributes on quite large dataset, about 1 100 000 records (one Layer), I've all my data in Mapinfo Tab files, all works fine except when I do query by attributes on that large layer something crushes, I can see that HD is working for a while but then it stops and nothing happens, whole site needs to be reloaded to make it work again, I've got no idea if it's mapserver or php config problem (I'm using mapserver 4.6 with phpmapscript, php 5.0.5 and win IIS 5.0),
 
could You give me some advice what to do to make the search work?
