French Coordinate System

Hi guys,

I am trying to find out the epsg code for French Coordinate System in the
file epsg.dat, but I am confused, because there are so many items defining
French Coordinate System, I just don't know which one I should used for the
whole France. Could anyone do me a favor to tell me the epsg code or
coordinate system used for the whole France? Is it 27572?
