ESRI ArcSDE 9.2/MapObjects Support

I've been reviewing the implementation of ESRI's recent update to 9.2 of
their server and desktop products.
 
A key item I noticed is that MapObjects is not supported in the 9.2 version
of ArcGIS Server/ArcSDE.
 
Can anyone tell me if there will be an effort in development of some sort of
support to use MapServer for ESRI's 9.2 version of ArcSDE.
