You may try something like this:
LAYER
NAME credits
STATUS ON
POSTLABELCACHE TRUE
TRANSFORM FALSE
TYPE ANNOTATION
FEATURE
POINTS
0 15 #this is the position of the text in image coordinates (pixel)
END
TEXT '© xyz company' #this is your displaying text
END
CLASS
LABEL #defines the font, colors etc. of the text
TYPE TRUETYPE
FONT arial
SIZE 8
BUFFER 10
COLOR 0 0 0
BACKGROUNDCOLOR 255 255 0
OUTLINECOLOR 255 255 255
