Can an oblique projection be faked in MapServer?

Bob,

That might be possible, but I don't know how to setup a projection
definition appropriately to do so.  I imagine if you setup an orthographic
projection with a center point 45 degrees away around the world, that would
give something like a 45 degree view of your local area.  But this isn't
something I have ever tried myself.
