jBox convert imgbox to coordinates

Hello folks,
 
    I gave up on the jBox setimage() function and will just stick with
submit(). However, I hope to run some spatial queries using the imgbox
boundaries minx, miny, maxx, and maxy and was wondering how one goes about
converting these to real world coordinates. What I intend to do is pass
these four (converted) variables as stored procedure variables as decimal
degrees but the conversion has me hung-up.
 
Any advice much appreciated,
