Google Earth transparency

Jørn,

  I haven't tried it myself, but try using PNG (or GIF if you can tolerate
8-bit images) as the output format since these formats support a transparent
value (as far a I know Tiff and jpeg don't).  I'm not sure if Mapserver
passes the OFFSITE value to GDAL for setting of the transparent color of the
output image(likely?).

  Let me know if it works out.  It's something I've meaning to try...
